Air Quality Permit Application 2017

The City of Las Cruces, Utilities Department, announced its application to the New Mexico Environment Department for an air quality permit to modify the Jacob A. Hands Wastewater Treatment Facility.

The owner and operator of the wastewater treatment facility is the City of Las Cruces, Utilities Department, Jacob A. Hands Wastewater Treatment Facility, located at 2851 West Amador Ave., Las Cruces, NM 88005, in Doña Ana County.

The proposed modification consists of the construction and operation of three (3) new cogeneration units, and the removal of the existing Emission Unit 1 Waukesha 5079GU from permit NSR Air Quality Permit No. 185-M2.

With your comments, please refer to the company name and facility name, or send a copy of this notice along with your comments. This information is necessary since the Department may have not yet received the permit application. Please include a legible return mailing address. Once the Department has completed its preliminary review of the application and its air quality impacts, the Department’s notice will be published in the legal section of a newspaper circulated near the facility location.
